Conditions of Use
Please read the information contained on this page carefully as it explains the conditions under which you may use this website and it describes how the services referred to in this website operate. In these Conditions of Use, Lawbridge Solicitors is referred to as the ‘firm’.
Information on Website
All material used on this website is intended only for information purposes and does not constitute or represent legal advice. The firm gives no warranty or representation of any kind as to the accuracy of the information contained on this website. Users should verify the information contained on this website by taking legal advice from the firm or from another competent legal adviser.
Disclaimer
The firm disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage occasioned from the use of this website whether resulting from inaccuracies, errors of any kind or out of date information and whether or not such loss was foreseeable. Consequential and indirect loss and damage shall include but not be limited to loss of profits, loss of goodwill and wasted expenditure.
Free preliminary consultation
The firm will provide one free preliminary telephone consultation (‘the preliminary consultation’) to any user of this site who requests it in relation to a legal problem or issue of the kind covered by the information contained in the site. The preliminary consultation is for the purpose of establishing whether the firm considers that the user should take paid legal advice in relation to the legal problem or issue raised in the preliminary consultation. The firm may give warning of time limits or other imminent considerations to the user. The preliminary consultation and any warning given does not constitute legal advice. The preliminary consultation does not create a business or client relationship and it does not commit the firm to take any action unless it agrees to do so in writing. The preliminary consultation is intended to last for about 15 minutes but a shorter or longer consultation shall not change the nature of this arrangement as set out in this clause. This clause applies to any information given by email or letter following, or in place of, a preliminary consultation
Recommendations and Links
During the course of a preliminary consultation the firm may recommend that a user contacts a third party for advice or information in relation to the legal problem or issue raised in the preliminary consultation. Any such recommendation is given in good faith and is subject to the user making their own enquiries as to the suitability of the third party for their purposes. The firm does not accept any liability in connection with:
- any such recommendation of any third party advice or information service
- the omission or failure to recommend any third party advice or information service
- any third party websites that can be accessed through this website and does not endorse or approve any third party website.
Advice options
The firm provides the fixed fee advice services set out in the webpage on this site entitled Advice Options (‘the fixed fee advice services’). Following the provision of any such service the firm will provide the user with written advice which will, in summary form, explain the law relevant to the user’s case, warn the user of any time limits, indicate whether the firm is willing to act as solicitor to the user and, if so, explain how the firm would charge the User for acting as the User’s solicitor. The fixed fee advice service and any warning constitute legal advice. The provision of a fixed fee advice service does not create a business or client relationship and it does not commit the firm to take any action unless it agrees to do so in writing.
Conditional or contingency fee agreements
The firm undertakes some of its work on a conditional fee or contingency fee basis (including “variable fee” or “no win no fee” agreements). The provision of work under any such agreement is subject to rules of law and the provisions of the Solicitors Code of Conduct together with the firm’s assessment of the merits and circumstances of the User’s case. The initial assessment of the merits and circumstances of the User’s case will normally be subject to an hourly rate charge or a fixed fee advice service. Variable fee arrangements and no win no fee agreements are subject to review as the case progresses and may not apply to the whole case. Variable fee arrangements and no win no fee agreements may be subject to the payment of disbursements.

Unless expressly otherwise stated, the copyright in the text and information contained in this website is owned by the firm. The copying and/or storage of the whole or any part of this website or the information contained in it or the reproduction or incorporation of any part of it in any other work or publication of whatever nature is expressly prohibited.
